What these pages cover, and what they don't
The real test or credential
To act as a radiographer under an NRC license, a person needs the training, on-the-job training and certification set out in 10 CFR 34.43, through a certifying entity that meets the rule's criteria.
Our pages
These pages cover the NRC rule text in 10 CFR Part 34. Certifying-entity exams and study material, radiation physics, other NRC rules and guidance, and Agreement State rules are not covered.

Scope and sources
Everything here comes from the current eCFR text of 10 CFR Part 34. Certifying-entity exams and study material, radiation physics and shielding, other parts of 10 CFR, NRC guidance documents, and violation and penalty provisions are not covered. These pages help you study the rule; they are not a course or exam. Agreement States license radiography under their own compatible rules, so check yours too. These pages are not radiation safety training and have not been reviewed by a radiation safety professional: your licensee's training program and Radiation Safety Officer decide how the work is done safely. goraedu does not train, test or certify radiographers, and our questions are not a certification exam. Not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, any Agreement State or any certifying entity.
